Dr. Madsen received his bachelor’s degree in Italian from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He earned his medical degree from the Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas where he was named Bowen-Vogt and Lawrence Baker Academic Scholar. He then completed a transitional year internship at the Spokane Teaching Health Center in Spokane, Washington. He then completed a fellowship in clinical trials in dermatology at The University of Connecticut Health Center Department of Dermatology, where he subsequently completed residency training and served as Chief resident.

Dr. Madsen practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He focuses on applying evidence-based medicine to the individual needs and unique circumstances of each of his patients.

Though born and raised in Arizona, Dr. Madsen has fallen in love with New England, and spends his free time hiking, fishing, and enjoying the many amenities of the Northeast with his wife and two daughters.
