Amy Doody is a Dermatology Physician Associate, specializing in medical dermatology. Amy earned her Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, from CCSU in CT. She worked as a research assistant at UCONN, and was proudly involved in publishing multiple journal articles in the field of cancer research. She then graduated as First Honor Graduate with a Bachelor and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska Medical Center through the US Army’s Interservice Physician Assistant Program. After serving 15 years in the US Army and CT Army National Guard, Amy worked as a civilian Neurology PA at Baystate Medical Center in MA for five years, then as an Interventional Radiology PA for two years at Jefferson Radiology before joining New England Dermatology Associates of Vernon from 2012 until early 2024. In early 2024, Amy was excited to advance her career and joined Central Connecticut Dermatology.

Amy takes great pride in working to effectively manage a wide variety of medical dermatology conditions, performing minor surgeries in the office, and coordinating with other health care professionals in order to help patients as a whole person. Amy is passionate about partnering with patients to help improve their overall health and wellbeing.

In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, physical fitness, and staying involved with local military veterans. As Amy’s children have grown, she has retired from Board positions in local youth athletics, but still enjoys watching sports and supporting young athletes.
